Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja filed a case of defamation against of Rajkot based evening newspaper on January 20, 2015.
The cricketer is seeking damages of Rs 51 crore.According to the suit defamation suit filed by Jadeja, the newspaper 'Aabtak' had on November 20, 2014, published a news report alleging that the cricketer and his business partner Jenesih Ajmera had links with Bali Dangar who is facing charges of land grabbing and extortion.Denying his links with Dangar, Jadeja, while filing the suit, said that that the paper had damaged his reputation.
